Mid-Century Modern Style
Finishing process on Douglas Fir:
Shou Sugi Ban is a traditional Japanese technique to treat and preserve wood by charring it with fire. This process highlights the variations of hard and soft wood grain present in Douglas Fir creating a beautiful unique look and texture. The finished product, after waxed, is a rich, deep chocolate brown colour.
